    This maybe is going to sound really bad, but in some ways I feel like the day we were set free from the NICU means more to me than Lily's actual birthday...I don't know if I would ever say that out loud to anyone else but the girls on this board, bc it sounds so terrible. I think it's a day worth celebrating. I can't tell you anything about the weather, or what song was #1 on the day Lily was born, but I can remember every detail of the day she was discharged - sad, I know.

    Totally know what you are saying Shana.  We celebrated "Ryan Day" on his coming home day and I think we will acknowledge this day for ever since it is so important to us.  It is a huge milestone.  Congrats for Micah!!!
