I have a question for you. I live in a smallish two story townhouse. I want to get a PNP for the bassinet feature and I'm wondering if it will be more convenient to use the PNP during the day on the ground level of our home in the living room or if it will be more convenient to put it in our bedroom for the first few weeks. I don't want to end up climbing stairs all day when the baby's room is upstairs and everything else is downstairs.

Oh, I think you're more logical than you think -- especially since you already had this thought!!
And sorry for butting in on the post... I JUST noticed it was for someone else! :-P Didn't mean to give my 2cents unwanted!! (Guess I'm click happy on TheBump tonight!)
Hi! Yes, we did exactly what you described, also in a 2-story TH. But we also had the benefit of borrowing a bassinet for the baby to sleep in next to our bed for the first 6 weeks or so, at which point we moved her to her crib. Is this an option for you? Or, would you be ok letting baby sleep in his/her crib at first? I'd do either of these if possible. (The only reason I kept her next to me to sleep was for my own selfish needs - I missed her otherwise! She slept fine in her crib.) Really depends on your situation and circumstances....
Honestly, having the PNP on the main floor was pretty nice. Like I said in another point, I got so much use out of that thing - diaper changes and naps at the newborn phase, then playpen once DD was mobile - it never left its spot on our main floor. HTH!
