I hate you Serena and Lily

in 1st Trimester

I swore I would NOT get sucked into wanting to do a fancy nursery for baby #2 since the reality is, all that stuff is REALLY unimportant once the baby gets here, but today I was going through a stack of catalogs for recycling and came across a new one I've never gotten before called Serena and Lily.  Of course I instantly spotted about a million dollars worth of nursery bedding and decor I want not to mention the most adorable bedding for DS (because he's going to a new room too).  Oh and their peacock sling and gypsy tote.  Fogettaboutit. Too cute for words.  Ok, ok, enough coveting...putting it in the recycle bin riiiiiiight NOW!

    no kidding!  I particularly was loving the Rye crib bedding, but it's over $500 for a bumper, a sheet and a crib skirt!  I don't see how that is humanly possible unless 24carat gold is spun in there somewhere.

    OMG what a tease! I thought I had found the perfect girl bedding set until I scrolled down far enough to see the price...$969 for a three piece set. Yeah I'm sure it's hand embroidered, but still. They make PBK look cheap!

    I hear you on the fabulous overpriced baby stuff... ?I have always loved Peter Rabbit for a nursery, and I found this website.... SERIOUSLY????

    ?The work is beautiful, and I understand that they're employing artists (yay!), but yowza! ?3 grand for a crib!! ?Who can buy these things? ?.... not I. ?It's pretty and inspiring, though... will probably steal some ideas for DO's abode.?
