I usually love to cook...but lately I am just so..."eh" about it. I am home though, so I need to cook...and Maeve needs good meals to eat, too. (I can't just flake out and get take-out whenever, for health and financial reasons.)
So help a girl out...tell me your favorite dinners--no need to post recipes. I think I just need to think beyond the regulars that I am bored with. Maybe a list of other people's favorites will get me motivated....thanks!
Re: I'm in a cooking rut...help me get inspired again!!
I recently discovered This Week for Dinner. She will post her weekly menu and encourages the readers to post their menus in the comments. I get my ideas this way! Good luck
Last night DH cut up chicken, peppers and onions, seasoned them, and cooked it on the grill on our caste iron griddle. Then he put it all in a hoagie roll and topped with cheese. It was great with a side of grilled asparagus!
We also love chicken tacos, shepards pie, burgers on the grill, chicken pitas, kabobs, chicken cordon bleu.
Another go to for us is to saute chicken with garlic, olive oil, s&p. Then add in and cook zucchini and parm cheese. Serve over egg noodles. Love it!
Oh and chicken pot pie... we have that at least once a week.
