Do any of you DC's alt. between one and two naps?

Im sure that it's been asked but Most days DS takes one nap but then a few days a week he does two. Is this normal nap transition? He sleeps a good 10-12 hours at night too. Im just curious what your DC do.

My DD does this. She usually takes one nap, but if she goes down for her first nap any earlier than 1pm, she usually wants another another nap.

My DD takes one nap during the week at daycare - we try to stick to that schedule at home, but I'd say 75% of the time she takes 2 naps on the weekends.

I just follow her lead on it...

DS does this too, one nap may be 20min-1hr and the second nap is around an hour. Then there are days he may just take one 2-3hr. nap and still get his 10-12hrs of sleep at night. I just figured that he wanted to keep us on our toes, LOL.

DD did this for about 2 weeks while she was dropping her 2nd nap. Now she's down to 1 solid nap though. The only time she kind of takes 2 is if we're in the car for more then 20 minutes around 6:30 or so.. then she'll snooze a bit in the car until we get to wherever we're going.

Yes, at daycare it is always 1 nap and 99% of the time at home (4 days a week) he does 2 naps. Our pedi said it was fine that way as long as he was bascially going to bed at the same time each night and waking up at the same time each day.

Yep my DD definitely alternates. About a month ago I thought she was ready to go down to 1 but lately 75% of the time she takes 2. She pretty much naps a total of 2 hrs during the day whether is it 2 1hr naps, 1 2hr nap, etc. At night she sleeps around 11 hrs staight.

Yes, and it drives me nuts. I wish he'd just decide. It would make planning trips and playdates easier. He takes a 2 hour nap in the morning, and if he takes another afternoon nap, he'll sleep for another hour.

I miss that second nap!

Mine does! During the week, DD usually takes 2 but on the weekends she normally just takes one.
