I would have preferred UCLA Santa Monica, but since we are in Sherman Oaks, I wanted to not to have to drive so far. Im at UCLA Ronald Reagan....new hospital, too!
I dont have a OBGYN recommendataion, just a suggestion. Ask if they will be around when you deliver. Mine never told me that she was moving in June. Good thing I asked!
I had my little boy just over 5 weeks ago and had a fabulous experience. My OBGYN is Dr. Emily Sikking. I recommend interviewing a few doctors to see who fits your style best, but my husband and I were so glad we chose her to deliver our child. She made the whole experience wonderful and we completely trust her. She's very real with her patients and always professional.
I delivered at St. John's and would definitely recommend it as well. It's more of a "community" hospital compared to Cedars-Sinai (where a couple of our friends delivered recently). I don't know much about UCLA Medical, but I know I loved St. Johns. The nurses were very friendly, the rooms are spacious and it was quiet at night. They were also very lenient about visiting hours and good at keeping the room/bathroom clean.?
I like Dr. Lillian Morris at Women's Healthcare & Associates in Santa Monica (16th/Wilshire). Dr. Blumenfeld there is also highly recommended. They also specialize in fertility there.
