Has anyone been to one of these or had one thrown for them? My dad was at the Indy 500 last week and saw a bunch of advertisements for them at Hooters (of all places). Anyway now he wants to throw my FI one. Did some research and it sounds cool. Just wondering if anyone has any first hand experience. Dad wants make it guys only- which is cool by me. I think they may do a poker game and bbq.?

Re: Diaper Party?
They are kind of a tradition in my family. They are typically guys only because its supposed to be the guys version of a baby shower. The guests have to bring a pack of diapers as there "ticket/invitation" to get in. At my cousins her DHs friends brought so many diapers that she didnt need to buy any the first five months. And just like the shower will be your day to be ooohhed and awwwed over this will be the day he gets to talk about it with his buds.
My Cousin in Law had the theme "Potty Like a Rockstar" as a kind of joke for his. They BBQ playe darts and drank.

My DH almost had a diaper shower thrown for him. I think they are great! It's just a typical guys outing/event but they bring diapers are theire "entrance fee."
We ended up with a co-ed shower so they didn't do the diaper one but I think it's a good idea. A practical, easy and fun way for the dad to be celebrated, too.

I've heard of them. It's baby shower for men. The guests bring a pack of diapers and they sit around and drink or go golfing. It makes it more about the dad and gives them their own party to celebrate the baby. DH and I have talked about this. I was thinking of throwing it for him and buying beer and food and letting them have a Guys' Night and grill out and drink while I go hang out with some of my friends. DH is still deciding if it's something he wants to do or not.
