Is it too early to talk about poop?

Good morning ladies!

Is anyone planning on taking stool softeners prior to giving birth?  If so, when and what are you taking? 

I went to Target yesterday to stock up on stuff for the hospital and I ended up getting the Target brand of stool softeners (they were out of Colace, go figure).  Just wondering if anyone else is doing it, using the T-brand, etc.

    i've been taking them since the beginning of 2nd tri and will continue until after i give birth!  i take the generic grocery store brand and they work wonders for me!!

    Nah, I think I am just going to wing it, especially because it's so up in the air knowing when the LO is actually going to come, ya know?

    whew Lord, thats a big NO over here...I have IBS and crap my brains out quite often, so when i need a good poo, all i have to do is drink a Sprite or Ginger Ale and im crapping for days...Indifferent

    It is never too early to talk about poop!

    I take stool softeners now.  On top of my prenatals I have to take an iron pill and those two clog me like no other.  My dr. told me I can take softeners so I do.  I might not take them everyday (the softeners not the prenatals) but I am trying to keep things loose back there.  If I ever REALLY need a boost McDonald's french fries help (that was my once a week medicine in 1st tri since I couldn't take anything).

    Probably not.  I got horrible stomach cramps when I took the prenatal vitamins with stool softeners, so I really don't want to risk that again.
