I was checking out my soon to be pediatricians website and I came across this article.

  • I have heard that.  A friend of mine said her pedi told her about it!

  • Yep. We are definitely keeping DD rear facing at least til she is 2 and it REALLY bugs me when I see people who automatically turn the kid around as soon as they turn 1.

  • Oh this tickles me.  You should come over here and see what the Japanese do!  They hold their babies on their laps in the car and they let their toddlers move around, unbuckled, to their heart's content.  I know that there are definitely fewer accidents here, but, man, let me tell you-there are quite a lit of rear endings.  Seriously, I don't know how there's no law against endangering your kids in vehicles here.  I've also seen a lot of Americans here with car seats in the front of their car.  People can be so stupid.  I guess they don't really care until there's a reason to have cared in the first place.  Ugh.
  • I had heard about that. Thanks for posting it.
