Parks for a BBQ in south bay??

I am looking for a good park with shade and at least some sort of playstructure...And of course BBQs :)

    Vasona Park is first-rate, big, and has all that, but you have to pay $6...

    Yes, we love Vasona Park. You can also try Ortega Park in Sunnyvale.

    Vasona and Oak Meadow Park (next door/attached to Vasona) are your best bets. Almaden lake park has some shade but not a lot. Raynor park in Sunnyvale has shade and I *think* BBQs too. If you need to borrow a pop up tent to make your own shade, give me a call.
