Well as real as it can without a baby in your arms?
It really hit home this morning when I threw up while trying to brush my teeth. I have had a ton of nausea but it was the first time I lost everything

Re: When did it feel "real"
A lot like that for me. I'm throwing up nearly everyday (sometimes multiple times) which I didn't do in any other pregnancy, I've seen the baby with a h/b and heard it on u/s, and I still feel like a fraud. Probably because I know a couple of people with late first tri (ie, after seeing a h/b) losses and I'm not yet fully convinced we won't be in the same boat. It's hard after multiple losses to believe we're really going to have a baby in our arms. Every week that passes makes it feel a bit more real, but I think after hearing a h/b on doppler and after first tri and when I feel kicks . . . maybe then.

I hope your m/s eases up soon! Of course, then you will worry it eased up right? It's a double edged sword.
Ha, yes, exactly. I am grateful, because it's generally a good sign. And it seems to be worst when I'm feeling most frightened, like a wonderful reassuring sign or something. But it's utterly miserable and I feel awful and want it to go away. But then, yeah, I'll worry. So maybe it can stay for another couple of weeks or so, until we can hear a h/b on doppler.

I can't say I understand, b/c I have not had a previous loss and I have not had morning sickness. But I can tell you, I worried since I didn't have it. There is no end to the worry in the early weeks, ugh!
I'll be thinking about you and wishing you a healthy pregnancy!
It still doesn't really seem real for me, except for the exhaustion. No m/s, more just feeling blah in the evenings...other than not being able to keep my eyes open past 8:30pm.
First appt with dr. on June 23, hopefully will hear the heartbeat for the 1st time!
LOL.. someone who throws up when they brush their teeth : ) it helps some if you brush before eating. i still retch but at least not full blown everything.
I think once we had the ultra sound and also heard the heartbeat... that definaitely made it real. Dh has been plastering the ultrasound everywhere. It's currently our screen saver.
I'm on the cusp of second tri and it still doesn't feel real every day. I'm not really showing. (my pants are tighter but no real bump just bloat and fat) I'm not nauseous anymore. I'm exhausted and my face and back are breaking out, but...I wish I felt more like I was growing life. I feel like a fake as well. We already had 1 u/s, hopefully the next one in a couple weeks we can hear the heartbeat and maybe see a baby instead of a blob.
I'm not sure if it's going to feel real until I get halfway honestly. Or start feeling kicks, whenever that is.?
We've had a loss after seeing a hb so that alone won't make it more real for me. Maybe the end of first tri? We'll see.?
