Does anyone here have or is anyone expecting mono-mono (monoamniotic/monochorionic) twins? I had an early ultrasound this week that shows mono-mono twins and I am terrified after hearing the stats and risks. I have already seen a maternal-fetal specialist and he told me the facts but I would like to hear from someone who is going thorugh or has gone through this, too.
Thanks.
Re: Mono-Mono twins
Mo-Mo twins..are very rare...Sweater had them on this board as did several other women...I'm sure they will see this post and offer you their support. Do know that a lot of us were diagnosed with Mo-Mo twins, but they did later discover a separating membrane....I know I was diagnosed as such until they found my membrane when I was hospitalized at 21.5 weeks for a rescue cerclage..THANK goodness b/c at that time I didn't need any more 'complications' or stress.
Congrats on your pg..twins are fabouls and worth ALL the work you do during your pregnancy.
