aww! we have a baby possum that runs around our yard. he is separated from his mama and eats out of our compost, i think. not nearly as cute as a baby fawn, but all babies are pretty cute, this guy included, even with his spikey gray hair and weirdo naked tail.?
The kicker is.. when I met DH.. he was a hunter!!!! since we've been together... he doesn't hunt Bambi anymore... yay
We eat bambi Lots and lots of bambi. It's our primary meat source.
DH is a very respectful and ethical hunter though. I know there are many that are, but I like to point it out because there are so many that are not.
We really love driving and looking at wildlife, especially deer When late summer hits, we usually take a weekly Sunday drive to look for deer. They are beautiful animals.

You are absolutely right that there are lots of ethical hunters out there! I agree.. most of DH's fam hunts... it's just not something I grew up with so I'm not used to it, KWIM? but kudos to the hunters that do it right...
