Stripping. Does it have to be blue Dawn?

It's a great day to strip ;) My ILs are going to be gone for the day and I'm going to do some diaper laundry, treat them all for yeast and I thought I'd go ahead and strip. But they don't have blue Dawn. They do have some other blue dish detergent though... Thoughts?

  • Blue dawn is recommended because it doesn't contain enzymes (which can really, REALLY irritate the bum).  I don't know that I'd trust the other detergent.

  • Ok, we'll scratch that then. I can have DH pick some up on his way home in a few hours. I think the stuff they have is Oxy of some variety. Thanks!

  • You can use bleach to strip too.  That'll kill yeast as well

I had no idea about the enzymes. ?I've used palmolive with no problems (I couldn't find dawn). ?I have also used bleach too, but dish soap works better. ?Or maybe I don't put enough bleach, who knows. ?
