Ugh..Which CD should I stock up on now?

We have a pretty diverse stash of OS pockets, sized pockets, and AIOs.

So we've been using BG sized AIOs in the daytime for a while and the size smalls are going to be packed up soon as leaks are becoming more frequent. The last time I had frequent leaks was when the XS were getting too small. I know that I dont want to size up to Mediums in the BG AIO since OS diapers are starting to look much less bulky on him and I'm not embarrassed to put something so large on him anymore. I'm going to stick with OS from here on out.

We have BG OS and like how they are a little trimmer than other OS that we have. I HATE the aplix on these though. I like the HH, but ours is pretty new so I don't know how the aplix will hold up over time. I also really like the FB perfect size, but they aren't "OS" so they won't last as long, I guess. The jury is still out on the FB OS since I only have one with the new hip snap and my other two are the first style and I'm not sure about them. RaR are nice but seem a little small to contain all their own bulk, plus they are more expensive.

Soooo...in filling the hole from the too-small AIOs, do I:

1) stock up on the FB perfect size since they're trim and snaps are durable?

2) add more of the BG OS because they're trim despite the horrible aplix?

3) or stock up and deal with the bulk of HH for now because the aplix is better than BG? maybe try these in snaps as well?

I'll probably get a couple more FB no matter what just to have for the diaper bag. Their pocket is easier to empty with one hand than the other dipes.

WHEW...sorry this was so long. I end up rambling as though trying to sell myself on something. I hope some endured to the end of it. I appreciate any tips, especially from those who are CD-ing well beyond the size we're at right now. Who knows how his little body type will change. Right now I'd say he's long and skinny in the torso, but his little thighs are thick - though not full-blown chunky Smile

    CONFESSION: I didn't read the whole post. I'm too tired for that, but I'll try and add my $.02.

    1) stock up on the FB perfect size since they're trim and snaps are durable?  

    This is what I did. I asked about FB smalls and a lot of people told me they fit for awhile. They are my favorite, but I have days where I hate snaps.

    2) add more of the BG OS because they're trim despite the horrible aplix?  

    These are my favorite when I'm having a anti snaps day. How many do you have? I'm sure you said above... I also love the organic BG with snaps. It's super trim.

    3) or stock up and deal with the bulk of HH for now because the aplix is better than BG? maybe try these in snaps as well?

    I'm not a fan of HH. I have one, and the laundry tab doesn't work very well. I'm afraid it's going to ruin all my diapers.

    I just skimmed over your post, but I just want to say that while I like the reliability of our BG OS, and we use them for nighttime, I am having a definite love-hate relationship with them.  Now that we've been using them for several months, I am really hating the aplix.  The tabs are curling and don't stick that great and I hate diaper chains out of the dryer.  I prefer snaps myself!

    I have one HH one-size with velcro and it is not my favorite.  I liked it at first, but it's starting to look worn and icky.

    My BG are so reliable, I wish they weren't aplix.  I don't put them in the dryer and that helps.  I actually recently purchased two more because though I hate the aplix, I know they won't leak.

    My all out favorite is FB in sizes.  I have gotten some from Jillian's Drawers for like $9 when they sell their gently used (and they look almost brand new even with the "fair" condition), and also from that diaper clearance site (can't remember the name) also for pretty cheap.  My friend recently got 5 FBs for $30 on CL and I got one on eBay pre-DD for like $6.  And I have heard from many moms that the FBs fit longer in sized than other styles.  I switch out the MF for a hemp insert and have a super trim diaper that is trustworthy.

    someone (AmandaHearn?) will put snaps on the BG for you for a reasonable price. maybe a good compromise?

    i got nothin' otherwise. i hate pockets and AIO - lol! i wish i were a SAHM so i could do prefolds all the time!

    I love BGs

    I like the AIOs best I think, but the OS are just as great, minus the whole stuffing them part :)

    I just like them because they are so reliable.

    I just bought a whole bunch of the new FB one size, primarily because of the snaps issue. I'm sick of the velcro sticking to everything, and I KNOW the velcro diapers will not hold up as long as the snaps. I have a pretty chunky daughter, and these are great. I think they will grow with her nicely.

    I'm loving on the BG OS Organic AIOs right now.  They are available with both snap and aplix closures.
