It was pretty good. His right kidney is now clear and his left one is "stretched"- so now he just has unilateral hydronephrosis, instead of bilateral. We go back to DuPont in November for another follow-up U/S. We just have to keep an eye on him to make sure he doesn't get any bladder or kidney infections.
that's great news!! keeping my fingers crossed for you guys!
Dash's appointment went well. The neurologist won't take him off the phenobarb until after his MRI next month, which is frustrating. But on a positive note, Dash is starting to outgrow his dosage, which is great because that's how they'll titrate him down from the medicine.
And he has an excellent prognosis based on all his test results. That's always good news to hear!!
I'm so happy for you guys!!! It's remarkable the type of troopers these LOs are.
I hope they're able to take Dash off the medication next month. It'll be such a relief especially since the Dr's would take a patient off the medication unless they are sure the patient doesn't need it.
I think that you're prognosis is really strong especially since Dash hasn't had any more seizures
The waiting time between appointments is so nerve racking, but I think it'l be well worth it when you hear more good news!
