2nd Trimester

The business of being born

I just watched this documentary and I am feeling inspired about the whole birthing process. I'm definitely not ready for a home birth, but i feel more empowered to stand up for what I want out of my baby's birth. I highly recommend that you see this if you haven't already. If you have seen it, what was your reaction? Did it change your views on the birthing process or plans for your own delivery?

  • I have not yet seen it, but I want to.  If I watch it soon I will get back to you.
  • My hubby watched this (weird I know) and now he is all inspired to find a birthing center or maybe a home birth!  The movie really wasnt that graphic at all and was super inspiring:)
  • I loved it. It didn't really change my views or make me want to home birth, but it was definitely educational.

I watched this, and all though some of it doesn't pertain to me, being I live in Canada and we have public health care, I really enjoyed it and learned  lot about th whole birthing process in general. I am so much less scared about giving birth, and yes I am going to a hospital.  I would suggest it to any parent that is expecting!!!

I think the goal of this movie is to help you feel that way. The point of the movie is choices - to see that you have choices, to respect others choices, and to feel even more firm (and EDUCATED) about your own choices.

  • I'm waiting for it to arrive in the mail from blockbuster.  I am birthing in a hospital, but I am hoping to use the Bradley method.  I can't wait to watch this movie just because i am curious!
