Parenting after a Loss

Are 2 mo old not supposed to get in pool?

I can't find a swinsuit in LO's size nor swimmers diapers. I wanted to take him to my bro's baby pool but need at least the simmer diapers!

  • I was told 6 months would be the youngest, but I know many babies that were in the pool much earlier.  I believe it's b/c they can't wear sunblock until they are 6 months.  GL!

If its a baby pool then I would think its ok.  I couldn't find small swimmers either.

  • they don't make really small swimmer diapers, but they're pretty stretchy so shouldn't be a big problem.  My DS was about 13 lbs and he fit into them fine just a bit big, but they seemed to do the job.  We took him into a pool when he was 3 months old, and he LOVED it.

  • I did find DD a swimsuit at BRU but I couldn't find her swim pants small enough either, I figured I'd try the smallest size since she is only 2 pounds under what they fit.
  • I think it's a sunblock and/or chlorine issue...?  We didn't put DD in a pool until she was 6 months BUT... she only weighed 14 lbs & the disposable swim diapers did just fine.
