Old Navy Swimsuit FAIL

I ordered a maternity tankini from ON and received it yesterday.?

I'm so disappointed! It technically fits, covers my belly (even though I think it makes me look like a whale), but has ZERO boob support. I mean, none. And these bad boys need some help. They can not be left hanging, literally. There are thin cups sewn into the top, but no elastic under the bust, so um... the cups do nothing.?

DH was saying to just keep the suit because I'm covered and it "fits" but as soon as I bent over to test out the support -- out popped lefty.

Awesome.?

Seeing as how 99% of the time I spend in the water will be with my 16 month old niece, I'm pretty certain this suit will NOT work.

Guess I'll just go buy a cheapy bikini from Target.. not of the maternity variety. I give up on maternity suits.

In the past, I've worn a sports bra under the tankini for additional support.  If you love the suit, it may be worth trying.

I hate swimsuits with no boob support.  What do they think I am, twelve?

  • I bought just a regular bikini from ON last weekend while they were on sale.  I had to get a large top though in order to keep the huge boobs under control, but it looks cute and actually supports the bad boys, this is the one I got and it actually looks cute and supports, I think b/c the top is bigger (it ties in the back so you can adjust it to fit perfect)  got the hipster bottoms with it...here it is:

  • lol at "out pops lefty" haha :-)

Sorry about the swimsuit fail... that sucks!  I haven't tried on the suits my sister loaned me.  Depending on how my belly looks this summer, I may just go with a bikini.. but who knows!

Good luck with finding a suit!

  • Aww that stinks!  Not sure how much you were looking to spend, but I found a couple good ones by Motherhood Maternity (got mine at Macy's) and they were only $40 each.  Not as cheap as ON, but cheaper than anything else I saw.  And there is enough support for my girls, which was necessary for me too.

  • Oh no.  I just ordered mine from there.  While I am a D cup my "girls" are very perky and I can often get by w/o a bra if need be, so hopefully this won't be an issue for me.

I bought a black maternity bottom and two maternity tops (both black and white) at Target.  They have support & I really like them.

We are going to the beach for a week this summer, therefore; I need more than one suit as we are having guests, etc.

Finding 3 was hard enough, so I am done.   I will just have to repeat each suit once.  Oh well.

I guess that's one good thing about having small boobs. Support isn't always a huge concern. Sorry for the fail. I would just go to wal mart or something and get a cute, cheap bikini with lots of support.

you have to wear a different suit because you're having guests? I'm confused.
