Just a little FYI. I helped my sisters stuff my shower envelopes they put the invite in 2 registry cards & a little card we made with a poem about bringing a book instead of a card. Each invite was triple checked by 3 different people, they all had the inserts. My mom has had several peop;le call her askign if I was registered anywhere, not much is gone off my registry. It turns out alot of people pulled out the invite & tossed the envelope with all the inserts! SO I would suggest either printing the registry info on the invite (which they are doing for my other shower) OR paperclip the inserts to the invite.

Re: PSA invite inserts!
How about using thin pretty ribbon to tie a little loop and punch cute little heart shaped holes in the registry info so the ribbon can be pulled through.
OK - that was all my creative energy. I'm going to need a week to recover.
I don't have any comments. Just wanted to say that was funny!!! LOL
Thats a good idea! anything I guess to make them more noticable.
That is terrible they just threw them away. I mean, really, if you think about it wouldn't the envelope feel a little heavy?
For my DD's shower I know her BF put the registry cards and directions inside the invite. Her invites folded though so there was no chance they didn't see them.
Since her's was a shower invite and birth announcement in one there was no room to put the info ON the invite itself...it would have looked too cluttered.
So you had 3 seperate inclusions referring to gifts with your invitation?
*vapors*
I agree with this. My sister did the same thing for us (from BRU and BBB) and I really don't think that too many people could have missed those inserts.
I think it is the crowd you are dealing with too.
We didn't put registry info anywhere in the baby shower invite (my SIL is old school about that and thinks it is tacky).
Even still, my shower is 2 weeks away and TONS has been purchased off of my registry. Particularly the big stuff (which has surprised me!). So I think that our group of family/friends just like registries and are willing to do a little research (BRU search for example - which I ALWAYS do with pregnant friends). Other groups won't buy off the registry even if they know exactly where to go.
I think my SIL is also telling people word-of-mouth if they ask. And my mom has had some phone calls about it. So.... People will figure it out if they want to!
