too much amniotic fluid ???

in 3rd Trimester

(Just visiting for a minute from second tri)

My sister was told yesterday she had too much fluid.  She will be 37 weeks tomorrow.  They did a size sonogram last week.  Also, all of a sudden this week her belly measurement is a week ahead.  This has been on target all along.

Anyone have this?  I googled it, but dont really like what I was reading.  Real life experiences would be good.  She is heading in today for another sonogram - which they said would take 90 minutes.

    nothing to worry about.. she just has a lot more fluid than most.

    i measured 11 weeks ahead since 28w. i am sure she is fine. i have had 3 u/s to check size.

    i have a big uterus, lots of fluid and at 34 weeks baby was 7lbs. :)

    so it could be a few different things. the good news is.. all are ok for me. i get a NST every week and baby, belly and me are big and healthy.
