Next Steps - TTC 14 cycles

We have been trying to conceive for 14 cycles with luck.  Had all the tests performed and undiagnosed infertility.  My doctor recommended an IUI as next steps.  Do you think its too early to do that since its undiagnosed?

    The RE's job is to get you pregnant and there tool is to throw numbers at the situation, with some doctors more aggressive than others. If you aren't ready for an IUI, then you can do a medicated cycle with timed intercourse. Just make sure you are monitored closely, whatever you decide.

    Do you mean unexplained infertility??

    Unexplained infertility is not the same as not having a diagnosis. My diagnosis is unexplained infertility--what that means is that I am infertile, but the available tests have failed to find a specific reason why.

    IUI is a common first step in medical treatments for unexplained infertility, but that doesn't mean you have to do it. Do what feels right for you.?

    I am confused what you mean by undiagnosed (since you've had all the testing done) 

    and what you mean by undiagnosed infertility.

    Sorry about that - I meant unexplained infertility.  Thanks for your feedback.  I just feel scared/nervous to move forward with IUI, but maybe that is common.

    IUI is the common next step after an unexplained diagnosis, but if you are not ready for that, then you can keep trying naturally a little longer or ask for a medicated TI (timed intercourse) cycle.
