to get pregnant after your loss? I just went through one, and am waiting for my first doctors appointment, but I think I heard six months, but that seems a little long? TIA

First, I am sorry for your loss.

It took us 11 months after our loss to get pregnant again. We tried for six months on our own after the loss (per our doctor's instructions) then made an appointment to see the doctor. Saw her the next month, started Clomid in March for weak ovulation. 2nd month of Clomid, I added acupuncture and got a BFP.

I'm so sorry hun.

We've had 3 losses. In between pregnancy number 2 and 3, it took us a year to get pregnant. we found out we were dealing with some IF issues. we got pregnant shortly after getting on IF treatments but mc again. We were on a break but during that break we got pregnant on our own immediately after our mc.

I am so sorry for your loss! I waited the two cycles recommended by my doctor after the D&C and then we got pregnant on our first month trying.

First of all, I'm really sorry to hear about your loss. You've come to the right place; these ladies are a wonderful resource.

We waited for three cycles, then tried and got pregnant on the fourth cycle. (IMHO, 6 months does sound long. I'd go with whatever you and your DH feel comfortable with, both emotionally and physically.)

We waited 3 months after my D&C to start TTC again and we got pregnant the second month trying.

I'm sorry for your loss. It took me 2 months to stop bleeding after my natural m/c and we got pregnant on our 5th month trying after that was over. Good luck.

Well, you probably won't like my story, but here it is bc you asked for it! It took us 1yr to conceive after our first m/c. Then it took 4mos to conceive the next time and we m/c again- then we got pg again the following month and mc'd yet again. It took several months for af to come back after that last mc, but it was 6mos before we got pg this time around. Hope you have better luck- but try not to feel too disappointed if you don't get pg your first cycle back ttc.

Last summer, I had a blighted ovum -- m/c naturally, waited one cycle, got PG on next cycle. Unfortunately, that ended up in another m/c (baby only grew to 6w), took misoprostyl, waited 2 cycles (took a long time for hcg to get to less than 5) and got PG on the next cycle.

We were able to get pregnant on my 3rd cycle post m/c. I was charting and using OPK's. I am sorry for your loss...the best of luck to you. Huge hugs.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Six months sounds really long to wait. I had a full term loss & we only had to wait 3 months. We got pg our first try. (it took a year & a half to get pg the first time). Good luck.
