B.Y.O.G.?

Bring your own gown? Has anyone else heard of this? Is anyone planning to do it?

  • No way.  That $100 gown is going to be covered in vag blood and discharge.  I think I'll just take the standard hospital gown!

    Ditto

  • I plan on wearing a black sports bra & maybe a black binsi-style skirt, if not just wrapping myself in one of the hospital gowns. I don't see the point of dropping $100+ to bleed all over it.

  • Oh my gosh!  Cute, but wow, people really think of everything these days...

Probably not going to invest (for reasons similar to post above)

I took my own nightgown when I had my daughter.  It was old, though, definitely didn't cost $100.  Surprisingly, there were no stains on it when I left the hospital...

  • Cute idea, outrageous price!
  • I didn't even know this was an option until I saw it on a baby story. The things people think of I guess?
  • As much as I think they are adorable I can't see myself wasting that much money on something I won't use again and that I will get all nasty.
  • By the time I got to the hospital the second time (an hour later) I was naked in the triage room. I was soooo hot I could not stand to have anything on. I had to put a gown on to be wheeled to my L&D room. As soon as I got into the room the gown was off again. I had the sheet draped over me while in the bed. The nurses even said, "I've never seen a naked Mommy before". We were all laughing! I also had the AC as low as I could get it. Everyone was freezing!  So I am not planning on packing or wearing anything fancy for this baby.
  • Holy cow!  $100?  NO WAY!  I spent $26 on a lightweight, soft, black cotton chemise type thing.  I can pull it down to BF & since it's black, hopefully it won't show too much of the "mess"

  • Tori Spelling wore one when she had her daughter Stella on her show. ?Very cute, but not very practical, I don't ever spend $100.00 on clothes at all let alone a gown.
