Heard a husband called his pg wife....

"CHUBBY" Wow. We were at the hospital for our maternity tour yesterday and we were sitting waiting and we heard a couple come sit behind us and the husband said something to the guy next to him about "yeah, I need the extra room because she's so chubby now!"    Surprise  <------That's the look my DH gave me - at least HE knows better than that! That poor lady! I wanted to knock her DH out for her!

    If my husband called me chubby I don't think I could hold back the crying fit that would soon distract everyone from the tour! I can't believe her husband said that!!!

    I don't get called chubby, but I've gotten "moose" before for some reason. I doubt he was trying to be hurtful, they may have a very understanding/joking relationship....

    Her reply to him sounded like she was embarrased and about to cry - I dont' think it was a joke between them. I think she was trying to hold back because she didn't want to make a scene in front of a lot of people, but you could definitely tell she was hurt by the comment - I would've been!!!

    DH and I joke around a lot, I know that when/if he says something like that he is completely kidding.  I may know this, but I know others may misconstrue it.  If I were to find out that he (for whatever stupid reason) was not joking, well, I think then he would never have the opportunity to have another child.  With anyone.

    My boyfriend picks on me about my size all the time...in fact his nickname for me right now is "Chunker-munk."  I know he's only joking around and still finds me attractive.  Plus I pick on him right back because he's gained more weight then I have and I remind him that I'm due in August and what's his excuse lol

    Oh, that's awful then :( I was thinking the same thing - DH makes all kinds of jokes that he knows I'll appreciate, but he'd never be so dense as to do it when it would hurt my feelings.

    That guy just earned the husband of the year award.

     I almost took out a girl at a bridal shower I went to last weekend. She was running her mouth about how she's going dread the day she gets pregnant cause she can't imagine being (and I quote) "THAT FAT" -- while looking at me. I AM PREGNANT A$$HAT, NOT FAT!!!!

    Oh there's no way I could have held back.  I would have said something under my breath but loud enough for him to hear as I walked away, like "f*ucking ass*hole".  And if he dare say anything back to me I would have ripped him a new one right there.  I know it's none of my business, but chances are, his wife would have appreciated it.
