I saw Dr. Couchman at Carolina Conceptions. Both she and the office staff were all friendly & welcoming. I really liked that she looked me in the eye while she spoke, was straight forward and wanting to get the ball rolling. We talked for a long time, I never felt like I was being rushed.
The bad news: she's pretty sure I have PCOS.
She also wants me to try to cut out more carbs and be more consistant w/ my exercise since apparently ppl w/ PCOS have a harder time processing insulin and have crappy metabolism (well, at least there's a reason I'm fat).
The good news: She said we could try Clomid right away if we wanted, but that she would rather if we got a bunch of testing done, which is what we want too. So, she scheduled me for a BUNCH of blood work and an HSG and DH for a SA.
All in all, I feel good. I like that we're actually making some progress!

My Sweet Girls
I've been waiting for your update
Boo for possibly having PCOS, but glad she is on the ball and getting things going.
Is this the first time you are having the bloodwork done? (sorry I don't know much about your struggles).
Yes, this will be the first time we've had any testing. We were always of the "when it happens, it happens" camp. Well, after 5+ years of no BC and it not happening we decided we were for sure ready and obvs. needed some help. :-)
The whole PCOS thing sucks for sure, but it explains so much more than my infertility, like how hard it is to lose weight, and my crazy unexplained super dry scalp. So, at least I have more knowledge about my body.
The good news is that you now know what's up and she can work on getting you knocked up
