Did you start feeling really bad around 29 weeks?

All of the sudden I really feel like crap and cry easy. I can't sleep and am retaining fluid "down there" on top of a varicose vein situation in the same area which is VERY uncomfortable. ?This is it isn't it? ?I mean this is how I'm going to feel until I deliver isn't it? ?

  • it was right about 28-29w that i started to get uncomfortable... really achy crotch all day long- harder to sleep, etc.  I'm happy that it hasn't gotten much worse for me (i had a horrible last 6w of my first pg so this I can handle).... but yeah- it's pretty much the beginning of not feeling so hot :)

  • That's pretty much how I'm feeling, and sleeping is getting more and more difficult even though I am tired. Sounds like it's normal to feel horrible by now which makes the next month and a half sound not fun at all.
  • I started getting very uncomfortable around 28-29 wks and sleeping has been hard.  Although sleeping for me got much worse around 35 wks.  But talk to your dr and see what they will let you take, mine will let me take Tylenol PM.

In some ways I think you just get use to it. You will have your good days where you won't mind being pregnant at all and will have a lot of energy.  Then you will have other days when you are so uncomfortable you have no clue how you'll make it any longer.  But you can do it. Just remember those days pass & keeping those babies cooking is the best thing you can do for them.

I was just thinking the same thing.  It seemed as soon as I hit 29 weeks I feel blah.  Sleeping has been awful.  I am up at least every other hour.  Must be my bodys way of preparing me for not sleeping when the girls come.  I am ok during the day but soooo tired and cranky at night.  As much as I am ready for this to be over, I want those girls to stay in and cook just a little longer.

  • Yes! I had it very easy up until 28 weeks, then I "hit the wall". My feet and ankles are swollen, getting to and staying asleep is very difficult. I can barely dredge up enough energy to cook dinner after a day at work. I shouldn't complain because I feel I have been incredibly lucky so far but dang it's getting hard.

  • It has gotten MUCH harder to sleep at night once I hit 29 weeks this week.  For some reason, I just can lay down on my side to rest during the day and fall asleep instantly without pillows or anything until the bathroom call wakes me up.  I haven't really had the swelling problems yet, but know it will happen any day now!!
