Hey ladies, I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. I've been racking my brain as to what to get DH and my dad for Father's Day. I think I've settled on a photo book type album. Have any of you ladies made one of these before?
If so,
1. How many pages did you have, how much was it?
2. Who did you use to print the book?
3. How long did it take for them to print it, deliver it, etc?
4. Was it easy for you to create a lay-out?
Thanks ladies!!
Re: Photo Book questions...
I've used Photoworks.com for my photo books recently. I am exploring other options but it does give you set layouts that are easy to work with. For a book with max pages (I think it's 80 pages), I paid about $75 (with coupon from on-line). I usually got it within in a week of ordering.
Edit -- mine are hardcover, 8x10s (or something like that) size
I did last year and DH loved it! I swear he carried it around for months.
I got mine from Shutterfly, I forget how many pages, maybe 20? And it was around $11. They have coupons all the time. After I made it, I think I had it in a few days. It was really easy and fun to create. Go online and find cute and meaningful sayings and poems, etc. to fill up some of the space so it's not all pictures. I think that made it extra special. It was just a small 5x7 flip book, nothing hard cover or expensive.
We us Mac so I just use the Mac online service. I had about 30 pages per book and it was about $50-$60 (hardcover).
The books arrived about 1 week after the order was confirmed.
My Sweet Girls
That is so cute! Love the alphabet idea.
I have used mypublisher & ofoto/kodakgallery. Mypublisher is definitely better in many ways (quality, photo quality, ability to put more text in if you want, etc). I haven't done one in awhile so prices have probably changed.
Another one i hear good things about w/ decent prices is blurb.com
