    What a mess, I'm sorry!  Why was she induced?

    Hopefully the section goes well and the baby is fine.  That sounds really rough though.

    She was 41 weeks on Monday so the doctor automatically scheduled her for an induction starting Tuesday evening.

    Sounds like she should have been smarter about who she let get her pregnant, and your family should take care to set things up so that when he leaves, soon, she'll be okay as a single parent. ?The poor baby, starting life with this drama between the parents. ?

    Ugh, that totally sucks about your sister.  Does she have access to the internet?  Can she start coming here and the other newborn boards even if she is mostly a lurker (or a big poster, whatever).  Might be good for support, information and a few laughs.
