How early did you have mother's intuition about what you're having?

With my m/cs, I always saw myself having a little girl. This time, I have a strong feeling it's a boy. Maybe it's because 2 nights before I got my BFP, I had a dream that I was pg and found out at my big u/s that it was a boy so that's stuck in my head. Plus the chinese gender chart says it's a boy and that just has to be right Wink

So how early did you have a feeling about it being a boy or girl and if you've already had your big u/s, were you right?

I had mothers intution really early on. Only my mothers intuition was wrong! I swore up and down it would be a boy and I have had 3 u/s confirming she is all girl!

I think I'm totally inventing my mother's intuition lol. I really want a girl, but DH has only boys on his side so I'm not really feeling like I'll get my girl. I pretty much am trying to convince myself that it's a boy, and am then calling it "mother's intuition" when people ask me. It's hard for me to distinguish between mother's intuition and my own self-preservation.

I had absolutely no gut feeling on the gender. My entire family kept telling me boy and I couldn't understand why they had a feeling and I (and my husband) did not. The morning of our big u/s I woke up convinced it was a girl. You couldn't have told me otherwise. My husband also claims he had a dream the night before. Both of us were right!

i had a bunch of dreams that i was having a boy and was totally convinced that it would be a boy. at my nt scan though yesterday the tech gave us a guess (a very good guess she said, she was convinced) that it was a girl. we'll see if she is really right in 8 weeks though.

Well, with DD#1 I felt she was a girl from the start (and the chinese gender thing agreed). With Sarah I thought she was a boy but the ultrasound (and the chinese gender thing said girl).
This time I think boy (and am happy to say the chinese gender thing agrees!) but it's probably because I so much want a boy.

From the get go, I felt like we were having a boy. I was right but I know that is not always the case. I just feel like I am going to be a mom to boys but maybe God will surprise me and give me a little princess on the next go 'round.

I was right with my first two. With DS I just "knew"; with DD was pregnancy was so completely different, I didn't think there was anyway it could be another boy. With my last pregnancy (that I m/c'd) I swore it was a boy, but I was wrong. I feel like this one is a girl, but I promised DH we'd wait until delivery to find out - so I'll let you know in 35 more weeks!

based on timing although its hard to tell and the good ol chinese chart i'm pretty sure its a girl but who knows i almost just passed out at stop and shop while getting pellegrino and my mom used to say when you are always tired it a sign its a boy, with DS all i did was sleep and with this one it seems if i don't have at least a half hour nap i'm wrecked by 8pm

i was convinced that i was having a boy from the moment of my BFP... chinese gender chart agreed with me. as did 5 ultrasounds

i think mother's instinct is supposed to be right 75% of the time? more than you would expect by chance anyway.

My mother's intuition was wrong, wrong, wrong.

I had two dreams very early on about it being a girl. I thought the fast heart rate meant it was a girl. Chinese Gender Chart said girl. I was absolutely convinced it would be a girl. My mom also thought girl.

But it's a BOY!!!

DH had "father's intuition" though - he dreamed about me giving birth about a week before our big u/s and it was a boy!

I think it was somewhere around 8 weeks that I became absolutely convinced that we're having a boy. We aren't finding out, and I'm still convinced it's a boy. We'll see if I'm right ...

I have no clear guess and no clear dreams at this point. DH is solidly in the girl camp and I was too 2 weeks ago. Then last week, I felt boy really strongly (I was doodling our names and Gwen didn't feel right, but Gabe did). But that's faded and I don't know.

I think I'm fighting my desire for a girl first really hard and may be leaning towards boy just so I'm not disappointed if it's not a girl. While I really want both sexes, I know in my heart I will be disappointed if I never have a daughter and so I think I want a girl first to make sure I have a daughter. I always pictured myself with girl babies. Which is not to say we won't be thrilled if it is a boy! We definitely will! I just think my conflicting desires are interefering with mother's intuition.

Or. . . I just suck at mother's intuition, lol. With the m/c I thought boy for a day and then girl the rest of the time, and with the ectopic, DH and I both believed it would be a boy if it worked out.

Chinese Gender chart says girl, Shettles says boy, research on sex marathons indicates a greater probably of female sperm being present becuase of how many days we had sex . . . blah blah blah. I'm clueless.

I knew with one of my m/c it was a girl, probably around 7-9 weeks, and found out after testing that I was right. ?With this one, I had a boy feeling really early. ?Maybe around the same time frame? ?Kept telling my DH he is a boy and he wouldn't believe me. ?

I'm probably just a lucky guesser! ?I did feel it with every ounce of my being with the girl though. ?A little bit of doubt creeped in on this one.?

This! ?I did have 2 dreams about having a boy. ?The first was the night I got KU. ?Can't get earlier than that!?

I felt very strongly from the time of the bfp that this one is a girl, and I was right! This pg is so different than with the m/c and with the m/c I was convinced it was a boy b/c I felt great, no nausea. I also just had a boy feeling. WIth this baby, I was sick from the get-go. I also felt it was a girl because she was such a fighter early on when I had some bleeding.

even though I have always wanted a girl, I have a very strong feeling that I am going to have a boy (of course... I will be elated as long as it is healthy)

I got this intuition in the bathroom all of a sudden a few days before my BFP, which I thought was kinda weird.

DH has no sense yet... but he did dream of calling me mom a few days before my BFP.
