Good luck tomorrow! Are they able to tell you pretty quickly if they got what they needed, or will it take awhile to find out?

I think it could take awhile because from what I've read on other boards they basically don't know until they get to the lab and the cells don't grow. It's rare though I think and I'm further along that most people would be for testing like this.

The only reason we are doing it so late is because the doctors finally decided to go ahead with it. We think they got a little nervous that something could happen at delivery and they wouldn't get what they needed then since they have to get it via cord blood.

If this doesn't work there is still the samples at delivery they are basically trying to cover their bases which I can appreciate.

I'll be thinking of you and your sweet family tomorrow. I pray the process goes quickly and painlessly. I hope the doctors are able to give you the answers you and your DH are looking for. I'm glad they are being so proactive.
