Monday (32w5d) I was having about 7-8 non-painful BH contractions hourly. My doc wanted me to come in to be monitored. I was not dilated at all but I was having too many contractions so I got a shot of Breathene to stop them (on a side note, this med made my HR and BP drop dramatically and I almost passed out. It's suppose to make your heart race..ugh). I noticed that Zoogy said this happen to her at 32 weeks. Just wondering if this happen to any others and if you delivered early?
I seem to be doing fine now and the doc still said I could go on vacation next week so long as I have not started dilating/ contracting more. But, he also said he would let me deliver at about 34 weeks if I go into labor...AHHH! That''s in 7 days. The baby is big and he won't try to make me hold out until 36. Again, I am not having contractions anymore, so hopefully she will just stay put for a few more weeks.
Thoughts?
Re: Contractions Question (Zoogy Come in)
I did go in and they gave me the same thing to stop my contractions around 32 weeks and it worked great. I didn't have a drop in HR or anything and didn't feel abnormal after. I went home and laid on my left side and just drank a lot of water, rested as much as possible. I did however deliver at 36.5 weeks. Mya was 7lbs 4 oz and did so well being premature. We left the hospital after 3 days so no time in the NICU or anything.
I would try to relax as much as you can. I think my problem was that I kept trying to do things that I normally did when I wasn't pregnant that far along. The night before I went into labor, I helped my husband shoot a ceremony and also went to a suite at the Reds game for work. Not a great idea. I ended up leaving early because I lost my mucus plug and my water ended up breaking around 5am that morning.
I would go ahead and get everything ready just in case you go early, bag packed, car seat installed, etc, etc just in case. I had my back somewhat packed but had to finish up after my water broke and DH installed the car seat during a break from the hospital one day. But it did all work out.
Good luck with everything! Just rest when you can and enjoy these last few weeks!
