  DH and I would say things like, "What if no one comes and it's the lamest party ever?"  We were having a huge co-ed shower with 60 RSVPed guests... but they all came!

  I was nervous about sitting in front of people and opening up a million gifts.  Here is a picture my sister took right before they made me sit in my special chair:

  You'll have a lot of fun.  Just keep remembering that the only people there are those that are wishing you and your baby well.  Don't be nervous about the cost either.  If your hostess(es) couldn't afford things they wouldn't have done it for you.  Just enjoy your time there.

  I am not too excited about sitting in front of 30 people opening gifts for however long. I'm going to try and go as fast as possible but still be appreciative and nice about it.

  I'm only nervous because I am planning my own shower and my mom is hosting it only as the cover story, but then she says to me last week that her friend has some games she wants to do and I was like NO. I am a party planner and her and her friend did my bridal shower and it was really lame. I only want to have 2 or 3 games at my baby shower and I want them to be my favorites out of all the showers I've thrown. If her friend starts adding games its going to be my bridal shower all over again. So I'm nervous about sticking to my guns and having the shower I want without hurting my mom or her friends feelings. I am paying for everything and it is at my place so I really think she needs to stop planning behind my back.

  I dont even know if i am getting one or not.. i have not heard anyone commenting about it.... plus i am usually the one hosting everyone else's.. i am kinda nervous about that because i really want one...

  Actually about that hostess..... Thats me. LOL! I don't have any friends that are better than me financially, my mom is tight on finances, and DH's mom won't lift a finger. I'm paying for the shower, so um, yea. This is why I'm nervous, besides for the fact that I'm also nervous nowone will show up. I shouldn't think that way, because I thought that about our wedding too, and attendance was great.
