Crap! I have a cold & am due anytime...

From the size of the baby and the thinning of my membranes, it is looking like I'll be delivering sooner than later.  Great!  The only bummer thing is that I am now getting sick with a head cold.  GREAT TIMING!!  Ugh.

Anyone else here delivered while under the weather with a cold?  This sucks.

    It's incredibly common -- gets your milk geared up with good antibodies and reminds you to get some rest.

    I had a cold when I had my second baby.  My midwife and her pediatrician agreed that it creates great antibodies for the baby if you're going to breastfeed. 

    It was definitely uncomfortable, but I forgot I was sick when I saw the cute little face.  Hope you feel better!

    I had a cough and cold when I went into labor, the cough was really bad.  I was coughing during contractions and while they were trying to put in my spinal.

    I did start feeling better after I had the baby, not sure if it was related or not.
