When did you lower the crib mattress?

At what age? ?Was it when they started crawling or pulling up (or something else that prompted you to move it)?

Re: When did you lower the crib mattress?

  • We lowered ours as soon as DS was pulling himself up
  • Loading the player...
  • We lowered the crib mattress a few weeks ago, just to prepare even though she isn't pulling herself up yet.
  • It was right before my gall bladder surgery, because I remember not being able to bend over the rail. So, DD was just turning 8 months old?

She was starting to pull up but not to full standing yet at that point. I figured i'd do it early to avoid any issues. lol

  • ours has always been the lowest it can go and sure enough DS is now standing up in his crib.
  • This weekend. She started pulling up sorta and I didnt want to risk it.

  • We've been on the second setting since the beginning we were supposed to lower it yesterday. ?It will likely be put off for the weekend. ?DD is not yet pulling up, but we want to be ahead of that situation. ?
  • DD's mattress in pretty much on the floor about now. We first lowered it at about 7 months... after she fell out of the bassinet a few times. Then when she fell out again, we knew it was time to lower it again. My poor DD. She has fallen from our bed, DS's bed, the bassinet, the crib and just recently the high chair. She needs to be strapped down at all time.

  • We just did it this weekend at 7 months.  DD has pulled up a couple of times (no where near regular though), and we wanted to do it before it became an issue.  I thought it would be tough to bend over and put her in, but it hasn't been bad at all!
