I have just started temping for the first time and am trying to get into the habit before AF finally arrives ad we can truly get back on the TTC road. I have a tendency to lay in bed in a semi-awake state for awhile before actually getting up. In this condition, I don't seem to remember to get up and take my temperature. I don't have a bedside table on my side of the bed. I tried leaving it under my pillow so it would just be there when I woke up, but turns out I knocked it in the floor during the night. What tricks do you ladies use to get the most accurate BBT readings.
TIA.

Re: Where do you keep your thermometer?
I keep mine on the shelf on our headboard. It's important to take your temp as soon as you wake up (and ideally at the same time each morning...I set my alarm for 5:15 every morning and on the days I don't have to get up that early I just go back to sleep after temping). If you don't take your temp as soon as you wake up, it can be falsely elevated. You could try keeping the thermometer in a case right by your bed (even on the floor if you don't have a bedstand) that way you can reach right for it when the alarm goes off. GL!!

I keep mine on my nightstand next to my alarm clock. I also have my cell phone there so I can 1. use the light from it to see the reading and 2. to 'call' the temperature so I have the temperature and the time.
I think I'm pretty clever. haha!
