period cramps before labor?

Did any of you ladies have this & if so how soon after wards did labor start? I've already lost my MP and am dilated to a 1 and 50% effaced. I've had horrible period like cramps (different then my false labor) all day today they've barely let up.

    I had them on & off the last few weeks. Good luck -- either way, it won't be long for you!! :)

    When I got them, combined with bh contractions, is when my labor started. I didn't deliver until 30 hrs later though.

    I had lots of period cramps for 2 weeks before labor.  But I was also induced...

    I woke up with mild period-like cramps in the middle of the night and labor had begun. ?By evening they were awful and I went to the hospital and had my son the next day. ?I never had any cramps at all-Braxton Hicks or otherwise-before I went into labor.
