Interesting article - thanks for posting! It's nice to read something on the pro-side for a change. I say there's no such thing as too much information!
thanks for posting this article! DD just got her first shots on Friday and that was one of them.
Warner had his on Friday, too. It was awful...poor little guy. I never thought I'd be the type to get upset, but I definitely teared up. I'm dreading the next round of shots!! How did your little one do?
Thanks for posting. I just finished reading the vaccine section of Baby 411 this weekend and it seemed to have a similar perspective to this article. The whole debate is so confusing but the more information the better.
surprisingly, Hadley only made one squeal at the end. the nurse was great and super fast- also, she told us that she gives the oral vaccine first because it is really sugary and distracts most babies from the shots. she pretty much slept the rest of the day but was back to normal on Saturday.
sorry Warner's shots were upsetting :-( I just read this article about shots in Parents magazine about dipping the pacifier in sugar water before the shots- maybe they would let you do that for the 4 month ones?

Holly's getting her first round of shots in a few wks... while I know seeing her get the shots will be hard, it's scarier thinking about how vulnerable she is to these diseases now. Thanks for the link.
I got the pertussis vaccine (or booster?) last October when DD was still too young to start vaccines. At least she'd get some of my immunity through nursing and to protect against me being a carrier.
