It will just be she and I on a 45 minute flight on Southwest. I plan to have her in her Bjorn in the airport (through security). I bought some ready to eat formula this weekend and already gave her a can and she was fine (I had heard some babies do not like the consistency) so I will bring those in the diaper bag for her to eat. Do I need to put them in a quart size bag since they are liquid? I will feed her during take off so the pressure does not bother her ears. If she falls asleep should I wake her during the descent? I am assuming yes. Also, I usually pick window seats but am thinking an aisle may be a better choice so I can stand and bounce her if need be (if I'll even have time) and can be the first to stand when we get to the gate.
She has already outgrown her infant carrier and my mom (who I am flying to visit) has a car seat so I am not even bringing one, and since we are only going for the weekend I am not bringing her stroller. Any other advice that anyone can think of?
Re: Flying with DD this weekend - any advice?
definitely get an aisle seat.
Pack a change of shirt for you in case of spit-up/blowouts, etc.
You don't need a plastic bag for the formula, just tell the agent you have bottles with you.
yes on the aisle seat. make sure to change the diaper right before you board.
Know that you will have to pass the Bjorn through the x-ray machine like a piece of luggage and walk through w/ JUST your baby in your arms. I thought that part was a PITA.
