  I am not sure if it was the epi stitches, or the tear stitches, but mine weren't totally gone until about 7 weeks!

  mine took about a month...but you may want to call your OB's nurse just to be on the safe side.

  Sorry- I have no idea since I dared not carefully look at that area until my pp apt 5 weeks pp, when they were gone.

  At my six week pp checkup, they still weren't completely dissolved.

  I still had one at my PP visit that the MW pulled out (gross!) because the area had healed but the stitch wasn't dissolved.

  I still had one left at my 6 wk pp appointment. ?I had a partial 3rd degree tear, though, so I had a lot of stitches.
