I nap every day. I feel awful if I don't nap and I can't sleep as late the next morning (b/c I'm so exhausted I don't get up to use the bathroom early enough in the morning, so I wake up at 6'ish and can't go back to sleep. Does that make sense?)
UGH!! I WISH I could nap. It's ridiculous, I've never been able to. Even as a little girl in preschool at naptime I would just lay there on my mat and never sleep.
Today I would LOVE to nap, because I got a whopping 2 hrs. of sleep last night, but I know it's not even worth trying. And I'm right there with you waking up early and not being able to get back to sleep! All weekend I was up by 5:30-6:00! It sucks!

I napped daily, but at the time, I was getting up every day at 4am for work, so by 2pm when I got home, I could barely drag myself into the house. We live in a 3rd floor apartment, and there were days when I seriously considered crawling up all those stairs, I was so exhausted.
My advice? Sleep when you can, now... because when you get to the end, you'll be so uncomfortable it's hard to sleep at all.
I nap if I feel the need and have the time... I don't love waking up just before dinner because then I need to rally and cook something, but it's better than not napping at all!
I'm planning on napping when/if I really need it. Yesterday I napped 3 times (and that was all before my BFP this morning). Since I work during the week I probably won't be napping very much except for weekends.
I just got some of my energy back last week. But before that, I was taking 1 to 2 hour naps every day when I got home from work and going to bed as early as possible! Now, I used to take naps daily before I was pg, so that could have something to do with it. The last week or so, I haven't been nearly as tired and haven't been napping. But if I get tired like I was in the beginning, I will definitely give it to napping again.
I didn't nap much in 1st tri, mostly because I didn't really have time. I would get home from work around 5:30, would eat dinner, try not to fall asleep in front of the TV, and would be in bed by 8:30 at the LATEST (often lights would be out by 7:30). I tried to get at least 10 hours of sleep per night. On the weekends I would occasionally take a two-hour nap. But I see no reason to restrict your naps. There is a reason you are exhausted, and you need the sleep!
I wasn't on much this weekend so I didn't get to say congrats! ?I'm so excited for you.
As for napping, if you have the opportunity to nap, DO IT! ?Don't resist it. ?Most of my 1st tri, I would go out to my car and nap on my lunch breaks. ?They went a long way to helping me feel like I could actually get some work done. ??
Whenever I needed it. When I was in my early weeks, I often came home at 4:30 and was napping by 5:30. DH was wonderful in just letting me go (which must have stunk--we were moving at the time and someone had to pack) and I did not try to fight it. Your body is telling you something, you have to listen to it! Congratulations!
Hi girl! So far I've been taking afternoon naps on weekends, but I don't nap during the week because I don't get home until 5pm anyway, and I'm trying to spend as much time with DH as I can before the fall semester starts again.
Mommy to two angel babies, 6w4d on 10/21/08 and 8w2d on 2/22/09. I still think of you and miss you every day!

Hey girl : )
I nap when I can't keep my eyes open anymore. So far I haven't taken too many, but in the last week I took 3! I can't wait to not be so tired!
