Tired of drop-ins

?I am just so tired of spending money and feeling super guilty about the amount of waste I'm creating with drop-ins.?Is it silly to switch to glass bottles now? DD will probably be drinking from bottles for amount 4-6 more months, right?

Re: Tired of drop-ins

  • We're dropping bottles at 1 year. When did your pedi recommend dropping the bottle?

I still love drop-ins and I recycle the liners.

  • I was going to switch bottles too, but Abby has really taken to her sippy cup and doesn't really have her bottle that close to bedtime, so I imagine she won't have it much longer after she gets off her formula. Not worth the expense for me.

Although - Evan drank his whole milk in a bottle once a day until nearly 2. He gave up the bottle completely, on his own shortly before his second birthday.

    So you never know.

  • We exposed Joseph to a sippy regularly from 5-6m. One day, about 10m, he just picked it up and never went back to the bottle. Completely on his own.

I wouldn't count on an 11mo child sticking with bottles for another 6m.

  • We also recycle the liners. ?I thought about switching to regular bottles about a month ago but figured it was too late in the game.

  • Our pedi told us no more formula at 1 year and to try to get him off the bottle shortly after.
