Right now I just have them nap downstairs with me. I put DD in the PNP and I bring the nap nanny downstairs for DS. At what point do you think I should transition back to the cribs?
My boys nap in their cribs in the morning until we go downstairs for the day (usually mid-morning/noon) After that they nap in the PNP until we come back up at night.
They nap in the swing, bouncy seat, play mat, crib, on the couch with mommy.... anywhere they land at this point! I would like to do complete crib naps, but that hasn't happened yet.?
I want to say that my girls we're 3 or so months old when I started insisting on them napping in their cribs, unless they'd fallen asleep in the swing or bouncer or carseat, in which case they'd stay where they were. If they'd fallen asleep in someone's arms, they were to be put in their cribs. I had to insist on that with my mom (she watches them 1 day a week) or she would just hold whichever one fell asleep second and I didn't want them to get used to being held for naps.
WHen we got home from the NICU we had our nights and days mixed up and they recommended that they nap out where everyone is to help return to normal days and nights.....after about a month we transitioned them to their cribs for naps...so about 5 months acutal age (3 adj).....now we use nothing but their cribs.
Ours now nap in their cribs... Paul has napped there since around 3 months, Amelia was in her swing until maybe 6 months or so (I can't remember exactly) The transition took around a week for her but now it's great. They did wake each other up at first but now can sleep through each other waking up and it's not a problem.

We had ours nap int he crib while they were tiny and when they got older they'd pass out in the swing or in the boppy. We had to change that back in March because we were having issues getting DD to go to sleep in the crib. She'd scream and scream until we went to get her. The pedi suggested putting them back in the cribs so they would associate sleep with cribs and have less anxiety about being in there
Re: Where do your babies nap?
Did you have any problems?
