Babies: 9 - 12 Months

those who judge - there is no magic age

some kids may need things longer than others.

i think it is just plain crappy that other people judge - there is no magic age.

some kids need more time, some dont. ?get over it.

im moody.?

Re: those who judge - there is no magic age

  • anything in particular or just in general?

  • pacifier, bottle, blankets, etc.
  • I agree. Judging that kind of stuff is stupid. I learned to walk at 18 months, what about it? I walk just fine now.

    BTW, what spurred this??

  • i'm moody too.

also, i had my pacifier until i was at least 3.  maybe longer.  i remember the day i didn't have it anymore.

  • people thinking kids should be over something at the age they want to be instead of them being ready for it.

same idiots dont understand development and b!tch at me as their childs teacher. ?want their kid to do something that they are not developmently ready to do.

    makes me mad.?

  • I got a bottle at night until I was four. Wait... actually, that might explain some things.
  • Yeah, my kid had his pacifier until he was 3 years old.  He wasn't potty trained until 3, either.

Must of been that epidural I had, completely set him back.  Oops.

Add toilet trained to that list. DD is 3-1/2 and terrified to poop in the toilet. I am always getting lovely "advice" on how to get her toilet trained. Unless she graduates HS in a pull up I'm not worried.

Couldn't agree more but, when are you not moody or judgemental?

  • add BFing to the list. My parents actually asked me the other day if the doctor didn't tell me I had to stop BFing at DD's one year appointment! Um, no, he didn't, thanks for your complete ignorance on the matter.

Man, this is probably why DD doesn't like solids. F you, epidural!

Note to Epidural: I'm just kidding. You know I'd make out with you if I could.
