"life is good" brand-- what's up with it?

My ILs got me some PJ's and a shirt with "life is good" on it, and I had never seen it before, but now I see it everywhere-- is it new? ?do you think it's cute?

    i vaguely remember the story behind the creators of life is good ... sort of like they started with the shirts on their back and it exploded.

    this will make me sound weird, I am sure...but I feel like it must be some kind of spooky religious thing...Im probably wrong, but it just reminds me of those people who try to suck you in by telling you all kinds of happy things and  asking you if you would like a world without war and poverty and then telling you that Its POSSIBLE! And  you can feel that great about things, too- by accepting jesus christ into your heart as your lord and personal savior!!

    ( I am pretty optimistic, but I find that stuff to be creepy.)

    Yeah, BoF, it creeped me out, too. ?I googled it, and it's just a small business gone good, but still, not sure how I feel.

    LOL - I think it was just 2 guys in college who started out giving free t-shirts and it caught on. I don't think there is any religious message at all.

    I saw them for the first time at a high end clothing store up in northern Wisconsin.  (I know, who puts a high end clothing store up north, right?)  The stuff is cute, but completely overpriced imo.  $40 for a t-shirt.  $80 for pajamas.  I couldn't figure out what was so great about the clothes that warranted an LA price tag.
