Any recs or good/bad experiences? Bought the hotsling @ babysrus yesterday but haven't opened yet and started to do research online today - looks like the Moby & Sleepywrap are more widely used.
Moby for sure. DS lived in mine from weeks 3 to 8 weeks. I like that you can do a variety of holds and it doesn't hurt my back at all. I've heard very good things about the Ergo and I'm thinking of getting one, except that you can't do forward facing in it and it's $$$.
I love my Moby and have heard good things about the Ergo. Most people seem to dislike the Hotsling. I've not heard of a sleepywrap. And, once DS can sit up more, I'm probably going to get a Maya. HTH!!!
I have a mobyish wrap... It's a cosybabyhappymommy one... a local girl here makes them. I love it. I do the front cross hold for dance class, the hip hold for out and about shopping or the forward facing hold, and am starting to try out the back hold. I didn't get it until ds was 5 months old and I still use it all the time. I am going to use it a ton once we have a second baby I am sure.
Definitely return the Hotsling. I only used mine for a couple of weeks and then it hurt my neck. I have a Moby and an Ergo. I love them both. The Moby takes some getting used to, but is great for facing out and for little newborns. The Ergo is great for leaving in the car and is so easy to use. You can search You Tube and make your own Moby.
Re: Moby/Sleepywrap/Hotsling/Ergo - which is the best?
return the hotsling, only good until baby is about 10 pounds then it kills your neck.
Moby is great, I like my Ergos better though and is easier to use. I switch between Moby and Ergos, just different.
