how do you do it all?!

Hi ladies,

I'm still on maternity leave, but I am barely getting through cooking, cleaning, ironing etc. I wonder how it will all work out when I go back to work.

Any tips? TIA!

you don't get it all done. You pick what is most important to you and don't stress about the rest. You find short cuts (ie- wash and wear clothes, paper plates) and let people help when they offer. And you become the master of time management! GL

Ironing???!!!!??? Whats that????

lol I do nothing in the house during the week while I am working. By the time the weekend comes, my house is a disaster and I spend all weekend cleaning. It really sucks.

i threw my iron away about two years ago. i make dh do the dishes. i do a load of laundry every day. the rest waits until i get done bumping on the weekends.

My DH helps out A LOT!! He usually cooks and cleans up after dinner while I?entertain?and bathe DD. I make sure I have as much done the night before as I can (bottles filled, diaper back packed, etc.)

I set aside one day for cleaning & laundry (usually Sunday) but we also try really hard to keep the house clean during the week. It helps to do many small things each night (unload the dishwasher, do 1 load of laundry.) It's not as bad as I though it would be! You are definitely busy but it's not unmanageable...good luck

I went back to work 2 weeks ago. I still have a suitecase of clothes sitting in my room from a vacation the week before. I do think I've finally gotten my husband convinced to hire a cleaning lady. haha - so um, I guess you just don't for a while.

you just have to pick your battles. and it really does get easier to get stuff done the older your lo gets. don't try to do everything.

I have an iron...somewhere. That's about as far as I get with that. Cooking - I don't cook much right now, DH does some of that though so that helps. I have never been one for domestic stuff though so cleaning is never my priority...

She's just as happy as can be in the Moby wrap. I can cook, clean, do laundry all while wearing her. I never seem to find time to iron though...darn lol.
