Babies: 9 - 12 Months

It's a freaking miracle

DD just ate a whole jar of stage 2 baby food without once putting her hands in her mouth.  Normally she puts her hands in her mouth, rubs it all over her face including her eyes and eyleashes and up her nose (yes it is funny but annoying nonetheless)  I am so excited, even though I am sure this is just a fluke.

DS always puts his hands in his mouth after each bite so each meal takes about a half hour. Whats the difference between stage 1 and stage 2 food? I do homemade so I'm not sure, but I do like to do store bought for when we're on the go. thanks!

DS also feels the need to rub his eyes every time he is eating and has food all over his hands.

Stage 2 jars are about twice the size of stage 1 jars and they have about a million flavors as where stage 1 only has about 10 or less.  I seriously went to the store when DD first started stage 2 and bought about 25 jars and all were different flavors.  She just now had Cinnamon raisin Granola and seemed to really like it, it also had a lot of vitamins in it which I am glad about.  Whenever I feed DD baby food I pay a lot of attention to the ingredients and nutritional value so I will know what foods she should be eating more of and which ones she should be eating less of.
  • ooh! I'll have to check the stage 2 out!
