baby shower venue?

does anyone have suggestions of where to have a baby shower with about 50 guests?  somewhere either central (downtown, south side, etc) or oakland/shadyside or south hills area is where we are looking.  thank you!

  • Calabria's on Rt. 88 in Castle Shannon is very nice...not sure if it could hold 50 though. The Georgetowne Center behind Hoss's in Pleasant hills on Rt. 51 is another very nice place.

  • My shower is going to be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, which is right across from South Hills Village Mall.  My bridal shower was there and we enjoyed it so much that we're going back to the same place for my baby shower!  They're easy to work with and provide a spacious private room and their food is really good.  You don't have to worry about bringing any utensils or linens, they provide all of that.  And you're able to bring in your own cake without any trouble.  It seemed to be one of the more affordable places around and you seem to get a lot for your money so I highly recommend it!
  • Bravo! Cucina in Robinson has a private room that holds 50 guests.  The room is free of charge and they have a lot of menu options to choose from.  You can decorate the room however you like and bring in your own cake with no cake cutting fee.  I'm having my shower there soon.  Visit their website for more information:  https://www.bravoitalian.com/banquet/

  • I highly recommend Wrights Seafood Inn in Heidelberg.  Very nice atmosphere, great food, surprisingly affordable, seriously.  Ask for Joe or Lara, tell them Sarah Anderson sent you, they will take care of you :)
