I went to the OBGYN this morning and confirmed that I do have PCOS. This is not a big shocker at this point, so part of me is glad that it is a definate diagnosis. Fortunately I do seem to ovulate occasionally, so we'll see. I'm ready to go to the next level but it will have to wait a while, becuase my DH is having surgery. Which brings me to the next part of my post, a prayer request....
My DH has a heart condition and is now in need of surgery. He'll be having open heart surgery next Wednesday (May 27th). Short version is his heart muscles are enlarged so they are removing part of his septal muscle that is blocking the valve and thus making his heart work very hard to pump blood to the rest of his body. It's basically like he's excercising 24/7. If you feel so inclined, please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. I doubt I will be online next week for this reason, but I'll try to post an update. Being new I don't know any of you ladies too well yet, but I do know that you are all wonderful and supportive. I'm glad to be a part of this board.
I may not be on much today since I have a lot to tie up at work before I'm out for a while, but I'll try to check back in later and I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!
Re: PCOS diagnosis and Prayer Request (kinda long)
I am sorry to hear about your PCOS diagnosis and your DH's heart condition. You will both be in my prayers.
FWIW, I have PCOS, too, and I got my BFP my first cycle on Femara. Good luck to you!
You are in my thoughts.... I hope everything goes well with DH. There are several people on here with PCOS that can give you great advice. It's not a diagnosis people like to hear but it is manageable. Stay strong!
